A total of 3.6 million yen warded to young artists who want to become artists.
This event will showcase 15 works of art that is modern and original created by students over a year enrolled in three universities: the Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music, Nagoya University of Arts, and Nagoya Zokei University of Art and Design. The works are selected based on recommendations from each university.
For a week, these works are displayed in the exhibition space in the Daitec Sakae Building, where they are open to the public and seen by many people. The foundation will establish a Selection Committee with the Foundation members playing a key part. From the 15 works, the Selection Committee selects three winners. First place receives 1 million yen, second place receives 500,000 yen, and third place receives 300,000 yen. The remaining 12 persons will each receive 150,000 yen.
Additionally, the First, Second, and Third place finishers are each invited to modern art events in Asian art centers: Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
In this way, we provide opportunities to see the global art scene firsthand to hit home the importance of thinking about the whole world when engaged in creative activities.
